COUNTER HEIGHT TABLES
Counter height casual dining is rapidly becoming a favorite for a busy lifestyle. The 36” table height is perfect for seeing over your counter tops and provides easy visibility in today’s open floor plans allowing easy viewing of adjacent spaces. The counter height stool used with this table height is actually the easiest in and out for seniors and requires very little stooping to sit or climbing to stand. It is the natural height seat. Our Tropic Nights counter height table comes with the option of a 36”, 42” or 48” top. The 48” top allows for 6 stools with plenty of elbow room while the 36” is great for dinner for 2 or snacks for 4. We offer several different style stools to match this table.
CONSTRUCTION
METAL
When shopping for your new metal bar or counter stools pay attention to the construction of your potential purchase. When looking at metal stools compare a solid steel welded frame in one piece construction like our stools to the typical hollow tube frames held together with screws & nuts and bolts. The durability of steel is how we can give a 10 year frame warrantee. The other advantage to solid steel is the weight. When small children put their hands on the seat the weight helps prevent the stool from tipping over on top of the child. Welded solid steel is by far more durable and represents a superior value for lasting enjoyment.
WOOD
When shopping for wood swivel stools look underneath to see how it is constructed. You will see that our stools are held together not only with traditional corner block construction but also by solid steel bracing running in both directions. Because both our buckets and bases have this extra bracing our stools don’t squeak and wobble after use. Also pay attention to the swivel plate used. A good swivel plate will be made of thick plate steel containing continuous ball bearings for long lasting easy movement. We use a 51 ball, ball bearing plate.
OUTDOOR
Outdoor products come in many price points and qualities. To ensure that you get a durable long lasting piece of furniture know what materials have been used. A continuous welded aluminum frame is the only way to go. This means that there are no nuts and bolts used anywhere in the frame. Nuts and bolts will eventually cause holes to enlarge and your furniture will no longer remain stable. Aluminum will assure you that your frame will never rust. Lower cost metal frames that have been painted will rust. Your outdoor wicker should be made of UV protected extruded vinyl where the color is added during extrusion. Without UV protection the vinyl will have a short life when exposed to sunlight. Remember these points and don’t forget to ask when shopping. An educated consumer is appreciated and respected.
